Clickbank Adds New Order Form Feature

April 17th, 2008

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. You can also grab your free Internet Marketing Quickstart guide by signing up for my FREE newsletter HERE. Thanks for visiting!

I’ve just been checking out some of my products on Clickbank and I’ve noticed a new feature which has just been added.  You can now include an image of your product on the order form when your customers go to check out with Clickbank.

The image has certain restrictions, it can only be 100×100px (max height x max width) and must be under 20kb in file size, but these file restrictions should still enable you to provide a preview of your image ecover or a flattened version of your cover.  Due to the confusion some customers have when they get to the order form on Clickbank, I could increase conversions slightly as there will be less people leaving the order process when they get to the checkout.

You can see full details of the new addition to Clickbank on their news page here: https://www.clickbank.com/20080415_release_summary.html

I’m going to be adding images to all my products over the next few days and will report back if I start noticing any increases in conversion rate, although I suspect there will only be small changes if any - but every little helps!

If you’ve got products on Clickbank - will you be adding this feature to your products?  For the sake of 5 minutes resizing an image I would imagine it’s worthwhile even to test - what do you think?

My Solution To The eBay “Slap”

April 6th, 2008

As I promised at the end of last month, I’ve been working on a new product that will show you how to sell your information products on eBay now that the ban on digital products has come into effect. To that end, I’ve just released “Multimedia-Profits”, a complete package which shows you how to take your existing digital products and turn them into profitable Physical products and multimedia packages.

Included in the package is a 30 page ebook that takes you through the process step by step, as well as 9 tutorial videos so if you’re a visual learner you can see everything in point-and-click detail. As well as this, the package is completed by a set of high quality packaging templates you can use to give your new physical products the professional touch.

Multimedia-Profits will also show you two ways you can automate your multimedia product business, as well as how to make fancy autorun menu systems for your discs.

For a limited time you can grab this package for only $9 - I’m selling it over at the Warrior Forum as a special offer - click here to check it out now.  I’d love to hear your feedback here from anyone who has grabbed this package - so get commenting below!

Check this Out - Free Site Split-Testing

April 4th, 2008

I’ve been doing a bit of research on split testing and tracking this week and on my Internet travels I came accross this video created by the guys at Google that tells you all about their website optimiser testing service. They’ve included loads of useful info on split testing, as well as a pretty detailed guide all about their Website Optimiser tool. The service is free so I’d recommend checking it out.

I’m currently doing some of my own tests with this software, as well as trying out a couple of other split testing packages, I’ll let you know which I think works best when I’m done with my tests so stay tuned.

Oh yeah I forgot to say it’s a pretty long video (more than 60 mins) so you might want to skip through bits if you get too bored. Oh one other thing - this tool is totally free - and you don’t have to use Adwords to use it, you just have to have an AdWords account. One final thing - I’m almost done creating my new product on using eBay and selling multimedia/physical products - keep an eye out for this in the next day or so! In the meantime…here’s that video:

Getting Around the eBay Digital Download Ban

March 27th, 2008

As many of you will have already heard, as of the end of this month, eBay will no longer be allowing digital products in the main listings on their site.  Many eBay sellers have been panicing at this news, however I see this situation differently, and it could potentially present a new and exciting opportunity for anyone wanting to sell on eBay…

If you have visited eBay in the past year you will have noticed the influx of low priced digital products (mostly ebooks) in almost every imaginable niche category.  Now I’m not criticising this, in fact if the sellers were using eBay effectively they could have been building a substantial list and profiting on the backend from these profits.  However, it also meant the markets became saturated and it was difficult to compete with the many other sellers to make any significant sales in these niches.

Now with the initiation of this ban on digitally delivered products, those who adapt their business can make significant profits as a result.  How do you do this?  Well the most obvious idea is to take your existing digital products and make them into new physical products!

Now you might be thinking…”I don’t know how I can make my ebook into a physical product”…well it’s simplier than you could imagine.  All you need to do is create a CD or DVD of your existing content, and ship it out to your customers.  Physical products have a number of advantages, including a higher percieved value (means you can charge more for the same product) and lower refunds - meaning profits overall increase.

I’m currently developing a brand new product that will show you step by step how to create physical products from your existing digital products, as well as some other fancy stuff.  I’ll also show how you can automate this process so you don’t even have to leave the house! - No running down to the post office to post those DVDs and CDs!

Look out for more information in the next few days.
